ABOUT ME

I didn’t plan on becoming “the woman who paints rainbows on everything.” It just unfolded, one brushstroke at a time.

After a big reset in my life, I was starting over with almost nothing. Buying shiny new furniture or picture-perfect décor wasn’t on the cards. What I did have was a box of paints, a sharp eye for bargains, and the urge to make my space feel like mine.

I started picking up things other people had given up on — a chair with scratches, a frame with no picture, a lamp collecting dust. I’d clean them up, splash on colour, layer paper and paint until they felt alive again. At first, it was about creating a happy home. But I soon realised it was also about saving things from landfill, reusing instead of wasting, and proving that sustainable living doesn’t have to be dull.

That’s how VIVIDALITY began — from the belief that old things can always be made new again with some imagination, paint, and care.

My work is bold and unapologetic: bursts of colour, pattern, and messages of love, peace, and joy. Using acrylics, decoupage, and layered textures, I explore how colour lifts the spirit and speaks to the part of us that still remembers how to play.

On larger boards, I create dreamlike worlds of flowers, patterns, and even the odd mythical beast — vibrant landscapes that feel both strange and familiar. Inspired by Aldous Huxley’s The Doors of Perception, I like to push beyond what we normally see and hint at the wider possibilities waiting just out of sight.

For me, art is both healing and energising. It’s proof that something broken can be remade, and that joy is something we can choose — and share — every day.

Love,
