Painting Joy

TIme-lapse Video of me painting the original painting - JOY — a bold, unapologetic celebration of colour and energy. In this time-lapse you’ll see the piece take shape layer by layer, as paint, pattern, and movement build into something that feels alive. For me, JOY is about more than decoration — it’s about capturing that spark of awe and reminding us that colour has the power to shift how we feel.

Glastonbury Abbey Open Day Stall

“My stall at the Glastonbury Abbey Open Day was a special one — setting up in such a historic place made the colours and patterns of VIVIDALITY feel even brighter. I loved the contrast of bold, upcycled treasures against the backdrop of centuries of history. It felt a bit like bringing my own small splash of life into such a timeless setting.”

Glastonbury Frost Fayre Stall

“The Glastonbury Frost Fayre was where it all began — my very first stall, packed with colour, upcycled treasures, and a whole lot of nervous excitement.

It was the moment VIVIDALITY stepped out into the world, surrounded by a community that celebrates creativity and the handmade. That day, I realised my work didn’t just brighten my own world — it connected with others too.

And in the middle of it all, a little girl appeared, wide-eyed and full of wonder — a mystery guest who seemed to embody everything I want VIVIDALITY to be: joyful, curious, and a little bit magical.”

Mill At Rode Art Exhibition

“The Mill at Rode Art Exhibition was one of the first times VIVIDALITY took shape as more than just an idea in my head — it became a space filled with colour, pattern, and upcycled treasures that people could walk into.

Setting up my stall there felt like planting a flag for what I believe in: that sustainable can be bold, joyful, and unapologetically alive. Each conversation, each smile, reminded me that this work isn’t just about saving things from landfill

it’s about sparking connection and reminding people that joy belongs in everyday life.”

Vividality Song

I asked Chat GPT to generate some song lyrics, then uploaded them into Suno AI, which created this really catchy tune. I’m not a musician, but I find it quite special and I really love it! I hope you do too!

I upcycled these plain old mirrors with layers of decoupage, a burst of glitter, and a soundtrack of my own Vividality tune. What I love most about upcycling is the transformation—you start with something overlooked, and end up with something full of life and colour. 🌸

This is just the beginning: I’ll be sharing a follow-up video showing how I made them, and I’m planning workshops so you can learn to do it too (or even a full course for anyone who wants to dive deeper).

So if you’ve ever looked at an object and thought “that could be more,” stick around. Let’s turn the ordinary into something vivid together. 💫
